Privacy
The app has no accounts and no analytics. Here's every place data goes, including this website.
Last updated 31 October 2026 · Veyndesk 0.5.1
The Veyndesk app has no accounts, no analytics and no telemetry. There is no Veyndesk company server: the app only talks to the services below, and only to set up a connection.
What is sent, and to whom
| Service | Used for | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
| ntfy.sh (public message service) | Finding your partner by ID | A one-time connection offer and answer (network addresses, encryption fingerprint, and the relay address if any) on a topic derived from a hash of the ID. |
| Google and Cloudflare STUN servers | Opening a direct connection | Standard STUN requests, which reveal your public IP address to those servers. |
Cloudflare quick tunnel (cloudflared) | Relay when a direct connection isn't possible | The session traffic of relayed sessions only. See encryption. |
| GitHub | Downloading cloudflared on first start (if it isn't already installed) | A normal file download. |
During a session, the computer you connect to sees your IP address, and you see its computer name.
What is stored on your computer
| System | Folder |
|---|---|
| Windows | %APPDATA%\Veyndesk |
| macOS | ~/Library/Application Support/Veyndesk |
| Linux | ~/.config/Veyndesk |
It holds your ID, a device key, the permanent password hash (if set), your options, the cloudflared program and, if you use the built-in server, its device list and connection log.
The viewer remembers your last few partner IDs in the app's local storage. Nothing is uploaded.
Delete the folder to remove everything. Screen content and keystrokes go only to the partner you connected with and are not recorded.
